Epidermal Layer
The epidermal layer is the topmost layer of our skin. As we age, our skin loses its natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid - a viscous, jelly-like substance responsible for retaining moisture and keeping your skin well-lubricated. Losing the ability to produce hyaluronic acid causes your skin to appear rough, dry, and saggy. Additionally, blood vessels in the epidermis become more fragile as we grow older. When these delicate blood vessels break, red blemishes will start to appear on our skin, causing skin redness.
Our Amethyst Anti-ageing Facial is designed to restore facial volume loss by hydrating and plumping the skin’s epidermal layer to prevent future wrinkles from forming. By utilising laser resurfacing, it doubles as an anti-wrinkle solution, eliminating damaged epidermis with a targeted laser.
Dermal Layer
The Dermal tissue lies directly underneath the epidermal layer, consisting of collagen fibres and elastin, and is the primary layer responsible for skin elasticity. Upon reaching the age of 25, the collagen reduces by 1% at an annual rate. This, coupled with a reduction in elastin production, causes the dermal layer to start to wear down quickly, accelerating the rate of deep wrinkling. To make matters worse, your skin starts to lose its ability to naturally exfoliate, causing dead skin to accumulate even more.
By boosting collagen and elastin in the dermis, our anti-ageing treatment is able to help lift and firm the face and attempt to correct the deficiencies brought with age.

Finally, the Subdermal layer of the skin consists of hair follicles, blood vessels, oil glands, and fat. As we grow older, the fat layer starts to grow thin. Positive results should be visible after the anti-ageing facial instantly. However, to prolong the positive effects of the facial, it is recommended to practice good homecare facial routines.
How long will my Anti-Ageing Facial last?
Normal skincare routines at home will be sufficient to maintain results for 28 days because a new layer of skin will regenerate every 28 days. However, do note that skin care is a marathon and not a sprint. It requires compounded effort, good skincare habits and effective skincare products for long-lasting results.

Is there any after-treatment downtime?
